So today I wanted to share with you my own take on the lip kit with 10 Nude/Taupe lip combinations that I put together just for you guys, and the best part... they are all under £10! Definitely let me know which is your favourite combo.

Urban Decay Naked Heat Palette Review, Swatches and Eye Look

Urban Decay Heat Palette UK
If you haven't heard by now, there's a new naked in town! The Naked Heat is the 5th full sized eyeshadow palette to the naked family and this one is for sure the hottest palette so far but is it worth the hype, let's find out...
Price
This retails for £39.50 here in the UK, just like the other 12 pan Naked palettes. You can buy the Naked Heat directly from Urban Decay's UK Website here* as well as the following retailers,
- Feel Unique*
- Debenhams*
- John Lewis
- Sephora*
- Ulta*
Packaging
This comes in a beautifully packaged informative box and the palette itself is adorned in a copper case that's both sturdy yet aesthetically pleasing. The case is much like the smokey version with a magnetic closing and the lid opens right out for ease of use.

Inside you'll find 12 brand new shades as well as a decent sized mirror and double ended brush, and just like the other naked palette's you'll find the shade names underneath each colour also.
Application
Inside you'll find a great mix of warm toned shadows including 7 mattes and 5 shimmers. Lumbre and Ember also have a stunning duo-chrome effect too. Each colour is soft to the touch, richly pigmented and easy to use, and I just love the versatility of this palette overall.

I had no problem blending out each colour, however, if you're building up each shade, just remember to tap off the excess from your brush as you do get some fallout.

I also created a beautiful fiery eye look using a mix of both the mattes and metallics which I've linked up above, along with live swatches of each of the shades so you can get a real feel for the palette.

Here's a rundown of each shade also...
1. Ounce - shimmer
2. Chaser - nude matte
3. Sauced - terra-cotta matte
4. Low Blow - brown matte
5. Lumbre - copper/gold shimmer
6. He Devil - red matte
7. Dirty Talk - metallic red
8. Scorched - red/gold shimmer
9. Cayenne - deep terra-cotta matte
10. En Fuego - burgundy matte
11. Ashes - red/brown matte
12. Ember - metallic burgundy/copper
Longevity
Just like the other naked palette's the shades I applied stayed vibrant and lasted all day which was great especially as these are more stand out colours compared to the neutrals. Prior to application I just used a concealer as a base to even out my skin tone.
Overall Thoughts
Well, what can I say, this is another amazing naked release from Urban Decay, the quality, packaging and versatility make this palette second to none in my books. I'm a total fan already of the naked family and although this is very different compared to the first three it's still a very wearable palette.

I admit £39.50 for a palette does sound like a lot, but when you think of how many shadows you get and how blendable, buttery and long-wearing these are, then really it's a small price to pay for a wonderful selection of mattes, shimmers a decent sized mirror and double ended brush all in one. So if you're already a fan of the Naked palette's but you're after something a little different, then this may be just the palette you've been looking for!

I award the Urban Decay Naked Heat Palette a 4.9 out of 5

*This palette was sent to me but as always all opinions are my own

Rimmel Insta Fix and Matte Powder Review and Photos

Rimmel Insta Fix and Matte Powder
Last year Rimmel released the popular Insta Skin Tint which was the first in their new line suitably named Insta. This year the brand has taken the #Insta family to a whole new level with the launch of their Insa Fix & Go Setting Spray, Four Colour Correcting Palettes, Three Contour Sticks and a Setting Powder.

Now I'm already a big fan of the setting spray as it's a great multitasker for Summer, but I have to say the new Insta Fix & Matte Face Powder looked like my kind of product considering the Stay Matte and Match Perfection Loose Powder are already staples in my makeup bag. So here are my thoughts...
Price
The Insta Fix & Go Powder retails for £4.99 for 8g of product whereas the Stay Matte Powder retails for £3.99 for 14g of product.
Packaging
Now although you get more for your money with the original stay matte, the Insta powder definitely has nicer sturdier packaging.
Application
This translucent powder is finely milled and smooth to the touch, it's also slightly scented too. I've been using this with a small fluffy brush after foundation and concealer to mattify my nose, chin and eye area and this really does work wonders at reducing any shine and not looking cakey! You also don't get the dreaded white cast in flash photos either.
Longevity
This did help my make-up stay matte for a good 5 hours, however, if you're out and about I would recommend popping this in your bag for on the go touch-ups as per the packaging.
Overall Thoughts
I've really become rather fond of this translucent powder lately as it's compact, mattifying, non-cakey and it's just so easy and a pleasure to use. Yes, it isn't as great value for money compared to the stay matte powder, but it's still affordable and it works just as well if you're after a more universal setting powder that's travel-friendly too.

I award the Rimmel Insta Fix and Matte Powder a 4.7 out of 5
