My Glossier New York Experience and a Glossier, Sephora and World Duty Free Haul!

Glossier Showroom, Sephora Haul, and World Duty Free
This month I was lucky enough to visit New York for the fourth time and what's a trip to New York without a bit of shopping! So today I wanted to share with you what I picked up as well as my experience at the Glossier Showroom.

GLOSSIER*

It's safe to say Glossier is the talk of the town and if you haven't heard the goss then Glossier now also ship to the UK too, hooray! While I was in New York I took a trip to the infamous showroom to see what all the fuss was about, so here's my Gossier experience...

First of the shop/showroom is actually really easy to find as it's located in Lower Manhatten along Lafayette Street which is one of the main streets that runs through Soho.
The building itself actually looks more like a block of swanky New York apartments, however, the massive Glossier flag outside kind of gives it away that this is more than just your average beauty shop!

As you approach the building you are greeted at the entrance by a girl in an amazing pink boiler suit who advises you to take the lift to the penthouse to access the showroom. When you get to the top the lift opens to reveal the most dreamy light and airy white, pink and red space full of Glossier goodness!
The showroom itself is laid out in sections so you can swatch, play and apply the products to your heart's content. There's even a sink area where you can test out all of the skincare and I also loved the fact there was plenty of friendly staff to help and advise you if you needed.
Overall I loved the friendly and calming atmosphere of the showroom so without further ado here's what I picked up...

Glossier Phase 1 Set* Saving £8. You can purchase everything in the set below separately also.
Glossier Milky Jelly Cleanser*
Glossier Priming Moisturizer
Glossier Balm Dotcom* (I picked up Birthday)

Colour Correcting for Beginners and Drugstore Options

Colour Correcting Make-Up
Colour Correcting is all the rage right now, with high end and drugstore brands releasing colour correcting products to help hide a wealth of imperfections. Now although this is trending currently, colour correcting has actually been around for years, but only now has it become an even bigger market, due to cosmetics companies releasing a much wider variety of correctors, to suit all skin tones and concerns.

Today I wanted to share with you some tips on Colour Correcting if your eager to try this trend out, but your not sure on where to start. I also wanted to share some drugstore options, if your budget can't quite stretch to some of the high-end releases out there.
How to Colour Correct
The green corrector is great for counteracting redness and can be applied anywhere you have redness including the nose, cheeks and forehead.
Purple is ideal for yellow undertones and helping dullness. Apply this to anywhere that needs brightening, for example, the high points including the forehead, chin and tops of the cheeks.
Yellow is excellent for purple undertones, bruising, mild redness and darker skin tones. Apply this to anywhere you have these concerns or for darker complexions use this to help lighten specific areas on the face.
Lastly is salmon, which is the perfect under eye brightener. Use this alone or mix it with your regular concealer to erase those bags away!

To finish blend everything in and then go ahead with your normal foundation routine on top. And if your still unsure of where to apply your colour correctors, Sephora has an excellent guide, that caters to every skin tone and concern.

As I mentioned above, I also wanted to share with you a few drugstore colour correcting finds. for if your budget won't quite stretch to some of the high-end options or if your completely new to the whole concept and you just want an affordable option to practice with first.
Soap and Glory Kick Ass Colour Correctors
These are a new launch from Soap and Glory and they also fall under the Kick-Ass family. These chubby stick correctors come in four shades including,
1. Fake Away - a yellow for dark circles
2. Super Blur - a white, which is for erasing imperfections
3. All is Calm (above) - a green, which is great for redness
4. Just Bright (above) - a purple, which helps tired skin

These retail for £8 and are great for beginners as they are easy to use.
Revolution Ultra Professional Corrector Palette
This really is the ultimate colour correcting palette from Revolution, plus it costs only £6! The palette contains eight creamy shades to help a wide variety of concerns, but I would say this is more suited to someone who already has some colour correcting knowledge, as there is a lot of shades in this palette that can look quite daunting if you don't know what you're doing with them.
MUA Pro-Base Prime & Conceal Powder
Lastly is this powder option from MUA. This comes in at only £4 and consists of four correcting colours that can be mixed for an all over quick correction if you're short on time, or they can be used separately too. If you are looking for a high-end version of this then Laura Gellar do a fab option called Balance-n-Brighten Color Correcting Foundation.

Best in Beauty 2015 - Liquid Lips, Strobing and Fuss Free Glitter Removal!

Well 2015 has been an amazing year of discoveries and new launches, so I thought I would share with you a round-up of my most loved beauty products from 2015. I also wanted to wish everyone a wonderful, happy and healthy 2016, thank you for all your support in 2015.
1. YSL Black Opium Perfume: The NOTES - Black Opium has a stunning woody, seductive smell, it also lasts all day and comes in the most beautiful packaging.
2. Sephora Instant Nail Polish Remover for Glitter - This removes glitter in minutes, has a pleasant smell and is a quick and efficient genius product.
3. O.P.I Tinted Nail Envy in Bubble Bath - O.P.I Original Nail Envy has been my holy grail treatment base coat for years now, so I was even more excited to hear that O.P.I had bought out a tinted version. This is perfect if you want to get your nails in good working order, but you still like a bit of colour on while your treating them.
4. Collection Eyes Uncovered Palette in Nude Bronze - This affordable palette, is super pigmented, wearable and is identical to six of the shadows from the Urban Decay Naked 1 Palette.
5. Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette - This beautiful palette from Urban Decay is full of gorgeous rose gold and bronze shades, as well as three matte shadows. I bought this for my Wedding as I thought it was Bridal appropriate, but I have continued to wear this palette almost daily as you can create so many different looks with it.
6. Milani Liquid Eye Liquid-Like Eye Liner Pencil -  Not only is this affordable, it's long wearing and highly pigmented.
7. Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in Soft Brown - I'm already a big fan of the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Pomades and so I was keen to try out the Brow Wiz. This convenient brow pencil comes in an excellent selection of colours, has a fab retractable fine nibbed pencil and a small spoolie which really helps to blend out the colour.
8. Benefit They're Real Mascara in Brown - I'm already a big fan of the original black They're Real Mascara, so when I discovered there was now a brown version, I was thrilled! The brown option is perfect for a more neutral everyday make-up look, it's also a really true chestnut brown which is rare to come across when hunting for a brown mascara.
 9. NYC Sunny Bronzer - At only £1.99 this drugstore bronzer is matte, non orange and also comes with a useful mirror for on the go touch ups.
10. Benefit Rockateur Blusher - This blush is the most stunning rose gold shade, it also doubles up as a highlighter too.
11. Becca Jaclyn Hill Champagne Pop Skin Perfector - Champagne Pop for me was one of the best launches from 2015. Having never tried any of Becca's Shimmering Skin Perfector's before, I really was impressed by not only the shade, but the stunning consistency and longevity.
12. Barry M Lip Liner in No5 Russet - If you'd seen my Kylie Jenner MAC Dupes post, you'll know I found this amazing dupe for MAC Spice Lip Pencil in the form of Barry M Russet. This particular lip liner is a lovely wearable, affordable and versatile shade.
13. Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Lip Pencil in Native - This 24/7 Glide On Lip Pencil has a superb buttery texture, that lasts all day and this colour in particular is a great match for MAC Angel Lipstick.
14. MAC Lipsticks in Brave and Velvet Teddy -  Over the past couple of months I've been obsessed with nude and taupe lips shades from MAC. My most worn have been Velvet Teddy and Brave.
15. MUA Luxe Velvet Lip Lacquer - Liquid Lipsticks have been everywhere and some of my favourites so far have been from the drugstore brand MUA. These Luxe Velvet Lip Lacquers are a steel at £3 and some of my favourites have been Dare, Reckless and Halcyon.

Sephora Glitter Nail Polish Remover Review and Photos

Sephora Instant Nail Polish Remover for Glitter
Glitter nail polish can be a bind to get of at times and although I am a total magpie when it comes to any kind of sparkle in nail polish, I don't wear it as often as I would like, because of the hassle of taking it off. I've never tried a pot remover before and recently discovered Sephora do a polish remover just for glitter, so of course I had to give this a go and here's my thoughts.

Have you tried a pot nail polish remover before and did it work for you, let me know your thoughts?
Price
This retails for $9.50/£6 for 85ml. I don't think this is bad for the amount you get, considering most of the drugstore versions are around this price point anyway, but for slightly less product.
Packaging
The Sephora Glitter Remover comes in a nice big pot that clearly identifies that this is for glitter polish and also nail art too. Inside, there is a large soft sponge lining the edge of the pot and then a scourer like sponge in the middle to help remove the glitter easily and quickly.
Application
This was the easiest fuss free pot of nail polish remover I have ever used! I had quite a stubborn glitter on with different sized particles in, which usually takes me a good half an hour to remove, along with a lot of cotton pads and a nail brush to clean the excess of my fingers after.

All you need to do is pop each finger in separately to the well saturated sponge and give it a wiggle against the rough sponge, the polish is then removed within minutes, cleanly and easily. The smell is also pleasant too.
Overall Thoughts
This is genius, finally a polish remover that banishes stubborn glitter and cuts your removal time down by half. This quick, clever pot of magic is not only affordable, it's convenient even if your on the go, just be careful to keep the lid tightly shut and stored upright at all times.

Now I will defiantly be wearing my favourite glitters more often, knowing I don't have to worry with the hassle of the remover process to contend with after.

I award the Sephora Instant Nail Polish Remover for Glitter 4.8 out of 5
