Top 10 High End Make-Up Products Worth Buying!

Top 10 High End Makeup Products
Following on from my Top 10 Drugstore Make-Up Products post, I thought it would be useful to do a Top 10 High End Make-Up Products also. Although high end products are expensive, I wanted to show you what is worth buying and what's great value for money if your thinking of treating yourself to some expensive make-up this Easter.

What is the one holy grail item you can't live without that's high end? Tweet me or leave me a comment down below.
1. Benefit Porefessional £24.50 - Primers are essential for helping your make-up stay all day and for me Benefit Porefessional ticks all the boxes when it comes to this. It has a silky smooth texture, that glides on to diminish pores and help prolong your makeup from dusk till dawn. Although expensive you only need a tiny bit as a little goes along way.

2. Urban Decay All Nighter £21 - Another essential item every girl should have in their make-up kit is a setting spray and Urban Decay without a doubt do the best. I use All Nighter after I've applied my foundation and then again after I've finished doing my make-up. This spray just helps everything stay bullet proof if your on a night out or have a long day ahead.

3. Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua £33 - This holy grail foundation is great if your not into heavy, full coverage formulas. Vitalumiere Aqua has the perfect light to medium consistency and is more like a tinted moisturiser, as it gives the most beautiful, dewy finish, with an SPF of 15.

4. Make Up For Ever HD Foundation Around £25 if purchased in the US or Sephora online - Ok I cheated a bit here but foundation I think is a personal preference, so I thought I would add another one of my holy grail foundations, as this is more of a full coverage one. Make Up For Ever HD Foundation has a thicker consistency, and looks amazing in photo's as it gives you an airbrushed, flawless finish.

5. MAC Mineralise Skinfinish Natural £23 - I recently featured these in my March Favourites. These Mineralise Skin Finishes, set your foundation, create a flawless finish and last forever due to their unique baked formula.

6. Benefit Hervana Blusher £23.50 - I love this blush as it's matte and a great universal shade, which suits most skin tones. Benefit Hervana has a beautiful mix of Berry, Beige, Apricot and Taupe, that creates the perfect cheek colour. This blush is terrific value for money as it lasts for ever and comes with a mirror and a brush too.

7. Urban Decay 24/7 Eyeliners £15.50 - These eyeliners are fab if your on the go, as you can just swipe them on in a few minutes and be re-assured that they will stay on all day. These 24/7 liners also come in a whopping 39 colours too.

8. Benefit They're Real Mascara £19.50 - I've tried a fair few mascara's on my blog, but this Benefit They're Real one is by far one of my favourites. This is a superb all rounder, that lengthens, catches every lash and adds fullness.

9. Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade £15 - I recently did a blog post on the many types of brow products that are now available, as it can be confusing on what's right for you. The Anastasia Dipbrow Pomade is an excellent choice, as it's great value for money, buildable, comes in a variety of shades and stays all day long.

10. Urban Decay NAKED Palettes £38 - These classic eye shadow palettes are a must for anyone wanting a super selection of wearable shades that are excellent value for money. Urban Decay have three different palettes that form the Naked family, each consisting of 12 neutral matte and shimmer shades. Each palette comes with a decent sized mirror, double ended brush and free travel sized gift too.

11. MAC Lipsticks £15.50 - If your in doubt on what high end lipsticks to choose from, then MAC is a great place to start. With a huge colour selection and range of finishes to choose from, you can't go wrong with a classic MAC Lipstick. Some of my favourites are Angel, Show Orchid, Cherish, Impassioned and Rebel.

Drugstore VS High End Foundations

Drugstore VS High End Foundation
When it comes to foundations it can become a mind field to find the right one for you and then there's the price bracket, I've tested a few over the years and have become familiar with the ones I love and the ones I'm not so keen on, some are drugstore and some are high end, but where do you even start and how do you know if the more pricey foundations are even worth the money.

If your a girl on a budget or money is no object when it comes to makeup, then hopefully this will help you decide on where to start in the foundation vortex!

I'm blogging everyday in November so don't forget to subscribe for daily doses! :)
Drugstore Foundations
Let's start with the more affordable drugstore options, if you are on a budget or simply prefer drugstore brands then these could be for you.

1. Revlon Photoready - This is well known within the beauty community but it is a bit like marmite, you either love it or you hate it. This is know as the drugstore dupe for Make Up For Ever HD Foundation, it is a little more shimmery than the HD one but gives a beautiful sheen to the face and has a medium coverage that's buildable. This retails for £12.99 and is great for normal skin types.

2. Bourjois Healthy Mix - I did a review on this a couple of years back as it's very comparable to Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua (Fun Fact - Bourjois actually own Chanel), this is a beautiful lightly whipped foundation and leaves a lovely dewy glow. It comes in 8 shades and retails at £9.99, also try the serum version if you want something even more hydrating.

3. Revlon Colorstay - This foundation is a popular classic from Revlon as it is full coverage and comes in normal/dry and combination/oily formula. If your after a full coverage long wearing foundation with a flawless finish than this could be for you. It retails for £12.49 and comes in 9 shades.

4. Rimmel Match Perfection - This is an amazingly affordable foundation at £6.99 and comes in 10 shades. It has an SPF of 18 and is great if your after a glowing, dewy finish. It feels really light weight and looks like your skin but better.

High End Foundations
If your after something more luxurious or want a foundation for a special occasion, then maybe one of these might be up your alley!

1. Bare Minerals BARESKIN - This is very new to the high end market and if you after something that's more than just a foundation, this has a serum incorporated within this mineral based formula. It has a super thin consistency and is very light and moisturising on t he face. If your more a fan of a powder formula then make sure you check out the original version, this is my favourite of the two and gives a gorgeous glow to the skin without feeling heavy. Bareskin retails for £26 and the Original is £25.

2. YSL Touche Éclat Foundation - This is at the higher end of the luxury foundations and is priced at £30.50. It is a lightweight, radiance complexion enhancing formula and if your a fan of the classic Touche Éclat and prefer dewy glowing skin then this is perfect for you.

3. Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua - One of my all times favourites, it has a hydrating, dewy consistency that feels lightweight on the skin. It has an SPF of 15 and retails at £33, has great coverage and again makes your skin look natural but better. Chanel have a great selection of foundations if you want to try something that is super luxurious and good quality.

4. Make Up For Ever HD Foundation - Make Up For Ever HD has a cult following and is priced at around the £30 mark. This is a popular choice as it covers amazingly well and gives a stunning dewy finish that feels lightweight on the skin. This has an impressive shade range of 25 colours to suit any skin, it's oil free and long wearing, defiantly a girls best friend.

For me foundations have come a long way and are way more advanced offering many sellable qualities to entice you in. If you are a foundation novice or stuck in a vortex then my advice is to think about what your looking for in a foundation, pick one you like the look of and read the reviews, most have a review or rating on them these days.

On the topic of Drugstore VS High End, if you can afford to splurge then opt for one of the high end picks, I use my luxury foundation at the weekend and on a special occasion and they are some of my favourites. But if you are on a budget and simply can't afford to part with a £25 plus then the drugstore options are just as good, my advice would be to invest in a good quality make-up brush or a Beauty Blender and setting spray, it can make the world of difference.

What are your thoughts on High End and Drugstore, what are your favourites, I'd love to know??
