Clarins Blue Orchid Face Treatment Oil Review and Photos

Clarins Blue Orchid Oil

Clarins has always been one of those classic french brands I've known about for years but that I've only ever dipped my toe into a handful of times. The cult Beauty Flash Balm* was always a staple in my makeup bag when I was younger and now I thought it was about time I discovered more from for me, this sometimes over-looked chic, french brand...
The Blue Orchid Oil has been at the top of my skincare wishlist for a good few years now until I finally took the plunge and treated myself to this luxurious Face Treatment Oil. I've been using this for over six months now so I thought it was about time I shared with you my thoughts on this...

THE COLLECTION
Clarins have three facial oils that make up the collection that aim to target different skin types and concerns including,
  1. Clarins Blue Orchid Treatment Oil for Dehydrated Skin.
  2. Clarins Lotus Treatment Oil for Oily/Combination Skin.
  3. Clarins Santal Treatment Oil for Dry Skin.
WHAT DOES IT DO?
All of the oils are made with 100% pure plant extracts and can help hydrate, rebalance and nourish the skin. The Blue Orchid Oil is specifically designed to target dehydrated skin and help hydrate, tone and revitalise the skin. Key ingredients include the Blue Orchid to revitalise and Hazelnut to help nourish and soften the skin.
PRICE
  • Clarins Blue Orchid Treatment Oil 30ml £34
  • Clarins Lotus Treatment Oil 30ml £34
  • Clarins Santal Treatment Oil 30ml £34
PACKAGING
All of the oils come boxed with an additional informative leaflet located inside of the box. The oil itself comes in a glass pipette bottle which makes it easy to drop out how much you'll need each time.
APPLICATION
You can apply this both in the mornings and evenings, personally, I prefer using this at night as the last step of my skincare routine. Now you guys know I love doing my 10 Step Korean Skincare Routine so I apply 2-3 drops to the face and neck after my night-time moisturiser. Another way Clarins suggest applying the oil is to toned skin that is still damp, so whichever way you prefer just remember to pat the oil into the skin gently.
WHERE CAN I BUY IT
Clarins, John Lewis*, Feel Unique* and Debenhams*.

OVERALL THOUGHTS
This is one of the most beautiful and luxurious oils I've ever used, the smell and feel of this oil is stunning. For me, this left my skin feeling glowy, hydrated and totally pampered and every time I use this I totally see a difference in the way my skin looks and feels afterwards. Now I'm aware this is a little on the pricier side however this lasts for ages as you don't need much and I actually think this is a reasonable price point based on the pure plant extracts and how well this performs. So if you're looking to uplevel your skincare routine and your skin is craving moisture, radiance and nourishment then this could be the oil for you.

I award the Clarins Blue Orchid Face Treatment Oil a 4.9 out of 5
