Barry M Coconut Infusion Nail Polish Review and Photos

Barry M Coconut Nail Polish
Until recently the only treatment nail polish I've ever owned or even heard of, was always O.P.I Nail Envy and although this isn't a coloured treatment, it's something I've sworn by for years as my base coat. O.P.I also recently bought out a Nail Envy pinks range in some of their popular core pink shades, which I also did a review on.

Now brands like Nails Inc. have also developed this trend by adding beneficial superfood ingredients to their coloured polishes too. Finally the drugstore has cottoned on to this aswell, with the likes of Barry M bringing out a collection of Coconut Infused Polishes, which looked too pretty to not do a review on, so here's my thoughts.

Price
These retail for £4.99 for 10ml of polish, which is great price for a specialist product. You can also buy the whole collection of 9 polishes for £25 from Superdrug if your a die hard Barry M fan, but personally a few of the nude shades are very similar, so I'm not sure it's worth buying the whole collection. I picked up Skinny Dip & Laguna.
Packaging
The packaging is the same as all the other Barry M Polishes, the only difference is these have a dark copper lid and thicker, shorter brush, just like the Sunset Daylight Curing line. I do love their bottles as they are simple yet effective and let the colours do all the talking instead.
Application
These are so creamy, pigmented and virtually opaque in one coat and because of the Coconut Water and Oil the idea is you don't need to apply a base coat, as the colour hydrates the nail. I admit this is a little unnerving, for someone who without fail always applies a base coat, but nice in another way if your strapped for time and want a polish that not only treats the nails, but is also quick to apply.

Longevity
These lasted for me around 4 days with a top coat, which I think is average for wear time on a polish. But the bonus was when I removed the polish my nails didn't feel dry at all.

Overall Thoughts
I love these so much, the concept, affordability factor and colour selection was beautiful, despite there being quite a few nude shades. Barry M for me is nailing the drugstore nail market at the moment, with innovative and on trend colour collections.

These are beautifully pigmented and glide on like a dream, they also cut your manicure time down, if you don't have much time on your hands. So if your looking for an inexpensive, treatment coloured polish, that doesn't require a base coat, then these could be for you!

I award the Barry M Coconut Infusion Nail Polish 4.8 out 5

O.P.I Original Nail Envy - The Nail Envy Family

O.P.I - Nail Envy
My nails have been a bit unhappy just lately, they do take a battering from the cold weather and the constant nail polish I apply to them. Nail treatments for me are a fundamental part of making your nails happy and a cuticle oil, good hand cream and nail strengthener can make a world of difference.

Finding a nail strengthener that works for you is a mean task as they are so many on the market and how do you know what works for someone else is going to work for you. I discovered O.P.I Original Envy about six years ago now and I've never looked back. For me this is the ultimate nail strengthener, yes it is pricey, but if you know me by now, you know I like to find an offer some how, some where. The best deal I've found is on QVCUK in the form of a duo, which included the Original Nail Envy and Avoplex together for £23.45 including P&P.

O.P.I Original Nail Envy
Nail Envy works as a treatment for your nails, the idea is you apply two coats at the start of the week, apply another coat every other day and then you remove the treatment at the end of the week and start again. I use this as my base coat and you can also use it on top of colour as it has air pockets that help the nails breath.
O.P.I Matte Nail Envy
O.P.I Original Nail Envy is the best, but I also like the matte version as a maintenance base coat, plus it also helps your colour pop a bit more too. The mini Nail Envy is a pink version, that as far as I know is only sold in the UK on QVCUK. This again is a great maintenance formula and looks pretty on bare nails as it just adds a hint of colour.
O.P.I Pink Nail Envy
Do you swear by another nail strengthener, I'd love to know, let me know in the comments below or tweet me.
