November Nail and Beauty Favourites featuring O.P.I & Revlon Photoready

November Favourites

1. MAC Blushcreme in Ladyblush
I've had this for ages, but love bringing this colour out when I really want that pop of blush on my cheeks, it is a beautiful pinky peach colour which really gives your skin that pretty flushed look.

2. Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream in Light
This is my first time using BB cream and I have to say I really liked this Maybelline one, it's reasonably priced and is a clever product which is light and fluffy in texture which made my skin feel and look great without being too cakey and heavy.

3. O.P.I - Tomorrow Never Dies
This colour has been one of my all time favourite fall colours, it is a stunning jewel toned blue/purple colour that has given me alot of compliments when I wear it on my nails.

4. Nars The Multiple in Luxor
I have to admit when I bought this I used it a few times then it stayed in the draw for a long time! But I made this vow to myself to use up products that haven't been touched in a while and this was one of them. I started using this as a highlighter on my cupids bow and along the top of me cheek bone and I love it now, it has no shimmer just a sheen that really accentuates areas you want to highlight, it's a beautiful shell pink colour and there is alot in the pan so it lasts for ages!

5. Revlon PhotoReady 3D Volume Mascara in Blackest Black
This mascara I bought on a whim as I heard a few things about it and it was new in the UK at the time, now this has defiantly become my favourite drugstore mascara and has out done my Benefit They're Real Mascara. I think the Revlon Photoready is equally as good, at half the price and has an almost identical brush to catch every lash!

NPCOTW - O.P.I 18K Gold Top Coat

Nail Polish Colour of the Week has to go to this beautiful 18K Gold Top Coat from O.P.I.
The Gold Leave Top Coat has become increasingly popular and is slowly outdoing the Shatter & Magnetic Nail Art trends. Personally I think this is a much more classy way to add a touch of individuality to any coloured nails to give them that extra pizazz this party season!
You can paint as many coats as you would like to get either a subtle gold effect or a full on expensive Gold Leaf nail onto any base nail colour.

Sienna X Matte Bronzer with Brush Review & Photo's

Sienna X is a Professional Tanning brand which specialises in the bespoke spray tan, they also stock an array of tanning products to compliment your tan whether it's natural or fake.
This September they introduced a range of cosmetics to the brand including the Matte Bronzer, Cream to Powder Bronzer & Illuminator & Illuminating Pencil Trio.

The Matte Bronzer is Cruelty & Paraben free and is described on the Sienna X Website as,
'This handbag-essential compact includes a soft gorgeous powder bronzer which will complement your tan perfectly, leaving you with a beautifully bronzed complexion.'

The bronzer and other tanning products can be bought directly from the Sienna X website below.
 PACKAGING
This bronzer comes in a beautiful purple box and inside is the compact which holds 8g of product as well as a mirror and a brush. The compact itself is a bit plastic looking, considering how much you pay for the bronzer, but the actual design of the compact is great as the mirrored lid is a lovely size and twists round so you can just use it as a mirror covering the bronzer & brush part.
 TEXTURE
The texture is amazing, it feels silky and velvety to the touch and is really pigmented.
COVERAGE
This comes in one colour which is a beautiful matte chocolate shade.
It covers really well, weather you're contouring or doing an all over glow, the colour is really buildable and comparable to the NARS Laguna Bronzer.
APPLICATION
The brush is great for on the go touch-ups or contouring but I used a bigger brush to get an all over application to the face and body evenly.
It applies really well due to the high colour pigmentation but make sure you tap your brush off before applying as you do get quite a lot of fallout from the powder.
LONGEVITY
The colour still looked great for me at 4.30pm; if I wanted to keep the same make-up on for a night out I would probably put another layer on before going out to intensify the colour.

PRICE
This is priced at £25 which I think is a lot for a bronzer, taking into account the plastic looking packagin. I think this would be more beneficial at a more affordable price would reach out to a wider audience as the bronzer itself I think is impressive.

FINAL THOUGHT
Overall this is a great matte bronzer suited to most skin colours or anyone who likes a bronzer that doesn't make them look orange and shimmery! It has an excellant consistency and innovative design
for Sienna X's first make-up product and I will be interested to see what is next in the Sienna X product line.

I award the Sienna X Matte Bronzer 4 out of 5.

NPCOTW - O.P.I Goldeneye from The James Bond Collection

This week's favourite Nail Polish has to be O.P.I's Goldeneye from the James Bond Collection. This beautiful colour is just like you have dipped your nails in pure gold, it is a stunning coppery gold with tons of shimmer shot through it to give the maximum gold effect.
This is going to look great for the party season this Christmas!

October Beauty and Nail Favourites! Featuring NYX and Rapid Lash

1. Essie Recessionista - This is from Essie's Fall Collection Stylenomics, it is a beautiful deep red/magenta creme finish and is really on trend this Fall & Winter, I love it!

2. Rapid Lash - Although this is a little pricey you get results from it and I found my lashes to be, thicker, fuller & longer which is a small price to pay for natural lashes rather than Lash Extensions every couple of months.

3. Jergens Original Cherry Almond Beauty Lotion - I have been a big fan of Jergens since discovering it last year, they have slightly changed the packing and scents, but this is still a great drugstore luxury body lotion which is thick, silky and smells amazing !

4. MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Soft and Gentle - What a beautiful highlighter this is, I have loved using this to highlight my lips, cheek bones and nose, it's such a beautiful nude/bronze that compliments your face and body and the compact lasts for ever.

5. NYX Bronzer & Blusher Combo in Ibiza - This is a new product I have really wanted to try and it's beautiful. this combo comes with a lovely bronzer to contour with and then a beautiful pink frosted highlighter that I like to apply to the high part of my cheek bones.

NYX The Curve Review, Swatches and Photos

The popular new NYX Curve eyeliner arrived in the UK last month and so I was happy to snap one up as I heard a positive hype about this product and wondered if it could help me achieve the perfect eyeliner flick.

The Liner comes in Jet Black only and is on the back of the box as 'An innovative, ergonomic shape that makes applying liquid liner mistake-proof.'

Here's my thoughts.

PACKAGING
The Curve comes boxed with information about the product on the box. The actual eyeliner itself is an unusual shape so that you are able to grip and hold the liner with ease. It is described on the box as 'Beauty Meets Function'. It also has a top to prevent the liner from drying out.
TEXTURE
The liner feels like you are applying a felt tip to your eye and it even looks like a fine felt tip pen! It feels smooth to use and glides on well.
COVERAGE
The curve is so highly pigmented so you can line the eye well in one go with no touch-ups.
APPLICATION
The packaging is really informative helping you get the best out of your application and how to hold it correctly. I must admit it took me a couple of go's to master the technique and get comfortable with holding The Curve in this unique way, once I got used to this I found it easy to apply. The tip of the liner is so minute and fine that is helps you create a really precise line and flick to your liner, along with the strong black pigmentation that really made my eyes pop.
LONGEVITY
At 11am my eyeliner still looked fresh with no smudging, even after a long workout at the gym.
This stayed on all day for me and still looked perfect at 9.30pm at night!
9am
11am
4.30pm
9.30pm
PRICE
This is priced at £12.50 on the NYX UK website which is slightly expensive, but I consider it to be a high-end drugstore brand here in the UK and considering this is a unique liner that you wouldn't ordinarily find in the drugstore, it’s worth paying a little extra for something special.

FINAL THOUGHTS
Overall I love the design and concept of this liner it's a great liner to have in your makeup kit for the cat eye look. I also love how black it is, it really is striking and complimentary to the eye. I am usually a pencil girl and this did take me a while to get used to holding the curve and perfecting my line but I defiantly will be using this felt tip liner more.

As mentioned above this is a little pricey for a drugstore brand and I would probably think £10 would of been a better price, but this is a unique liner for the budding make-up artist or cat liner lover!
I award the NYX The Curve a 4 out of 5
