Garnier Micellar Water - Bioderma Dupe Review and Photos

I spotted this the other day and had to grab it as I thought it looked very similar to Bioderma.

I have started to notice a lot of Micellar Waters coming through into the drugstore and had already tried the Loreal version which was lovely for wiping off your make-up, but what sold me on this one was the size and value for money compared to the Loreal and of course the original Micellar water Bioderma.

I defiantly recommend the Garnier Version as it removes make-up, cleanses the skin, is for all skin types, is gentle on the face and for double the size compared to the Loreal one, it is a winner for me!

Bioderma - 500ml - £16.44

Loreal Skin Perfection Micellar Solution - 200ml - £4.99

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water - 400ml - £4.99

NYX Brow Marker Review, Photos and Swatches

I love any kind of new and interesting Brow product, so when I saw this NYX one I had to grab it!
I had used a similar felt tip brow marker from Laura Gellar a couple of years ago and really liked how it applied to the brow, so I was thrilled to find an affordable dupe, here's my thoughts.
 PRICE
This is priced at £8.50 which is cheaper than your high end brow product and a little more expensive than your drugstore version, to me I would pay this as it gives me everything I need in a Brow Pen.

PACKAGING
The packaging is simple but informative about what it does, it comes in two colours medium & deep I have the deep for darker hair. The marker is easy to hold and has a thin nib just like a felt tip pen for precise application.
APPLICATION
The marker feels wet on the skin just like a pen, but is easy to apply tiny hairs to the brows to make them look fuller, I love the nib as it is so thin and I can get into any sparse areas easily. If you make a mistake you can quickly rub it away before it sets on the brow.
LONGEVITY
This lasted for a solid 11 hours before it slightly faded at the start of the brows. If you wanted this to last well into the evening a slight re-application would be needed just to touch up minor areas which have faded, but all in all this product did what it said on the packaging.

 OVERALL THOUGHTS
I really love this brow marker as an alternative to a pencil, it looks natural and allows you to simply apply tiny hairs to sparse areas. It's long lasting and affordable, my only down point is the colour selection could be wider to cater for dark & fair haired beauties with maybe an extra colour each side of their medium & deep markers.

I award the NYX Brow Marker 4.6 out of 5

Revlon Matte Balm Review, Swatches and Photos

I had been waiting for these new Matte balms to come out for ages to compare with the Revlon Stain Balms which I wasn't so keen on. I just didn't like the lip stain aspect of them as the colour didn't look good on my lips, so it was great to try these which didn't have a stain as I still liked the concept of the pencils, so here's my thoughts.
 Price
These are priced at £7.99 each which is great for how much product you get in the pencil. As you already know I like a bargain and I got these on 3 for 2, so it's always good to look out for the offers if you can.

Packaging
I love the packaging of these they are fun and colourful and look great on my vanity! The crayon is retractable so you can apply as much as you need with out worrying you've turned up too much product.
Application
Application is easy with the twistable cap and the colours are super pigmented and moisturising. The chubby pointed crayon makes it easy for precise application and it also smells minty which is lovely.
Longevity
For me these only last a couple of hours before I have to re apply, which is a shame as this shows up on the lips with the more vibrant colours in the collection. I found the colour also latched to dry areas, so I recommend applying these to a well exfoliated and moisturised lip.
Overall Thoughts
I love the array of ten colours that the Matte Balm Collection comes in, they are great value for money for how much product you get and the retractable cap is ideal so you don't use more than you need. My only negative is that these beautiful selection of colours don't stay on that long so you do need to re apply every few hours and they can cling to dry lips as they are very pigmented, but yet again Revlon have come up trumps with an on trend fashion led lip collection.

I award the Revlon Matte Balm 3.7 out of 5
