Hourglass Ambient Lighting Bronzer Review and Photos

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Bronzer
Hourglass is a brand that I have wanted to dip into for a long time now. This premium line is best know for their Ambient Highlighters and Bronzers that are famous for giving your skin the most ethereal glow. I decided to try one of the ambient bronzers first, as high end bronzers are something I haven't fully reviewed on the blog before. So here's my thoughts on the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Bronzer.

What's your go to drugstore or high end bronzer? Leave me a comment down below or tweet me.
Price
This bronzer retails for a hefty £42 for 11g of product. This is slightly over priced for a bronzer, but Hourglass is well know for being a high end brand, so the price tag is to be expected.
Packaging
This is packaged beautifully and is defiantly appealing on the eye. The box is adorned in a bronze foil and is also informative as it states exactly what this bronzer does. The compact itself is not only sturdy, but it also comes with a decent sized mirror, so it's perfect to pop in your handbag for touch ups.
Application
Ambient Bronzer comes in two shades, Luminous Bronze Light for paler skins and Radiant Bronzer for darker skin tones. As I have pale skin I went for the Luminous version.

I applied this with a large fluffy brush all over for a more sun kissed glow. Upon application, this marble baked bronzer had the most beautiful silky consistency, but I did find the colour to be quite dark for a bronzer that is best suited to paler skin tones. It also does look quite shimmery in the pan too, but on the face this really doesn't look glittery at all.

Although this was easy to apply, I did have to blend it out quite a bit to soften the depth of colour. I did like the overall look though, as it gave me a beautiful glow like I had been laying in the sun all day.
Longevity
This had great long lasting staying power which is what I would expect from a luxury product. I didn't have to touch up once, which was great, especially if your on holiday or out and about and you don't have your make-up bag to hand.
Overall Thoughts
Although this bronzer has a hefty price tag, the packaging, consistency and overall look where stunning and I did love how it made me look instantly tanned, like I had been to the Bahamas for two weeks! It's just a shame the colour was a little darker than I had expectant for a bronzer that is recommended for paler skins.

Overall I would say if your into trying out high end products and you love contouring and bronzing as well as a healthy glow, then this could be for you. But if your simply after a matte bronzer that literally does what it says on the tin, then I would save your money and opt for a more affordable alternative.

I award the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Bronzer 4.3 out of 5

A little bit of a Sephora Haul - My Happy Place!

Sephora Haul
I think I'm in the majority vote when I say Sephora is my happy place, it's also somewhere I don't get to go very often. Unfortunately we don't have a Sephora in the UK (which I'm baffled by!) so my only opportunity to ever go is when I visit the US. I recently came back from Vegas and off course while I was out there I did many trips to my happy place, armed with a list of products that where on my Pinterest wishlistso here's what I picked up.

Reviews on all the products mentioned will be coming soon, so don't forget to keep posted.
