You guys know I've been a fan of Revolution Beauty since the early days. This brand is constantly evolving with a plethora of new launches and brand expansion meaning you can now shop everything from makeup to skincare, hair to body care. Now you know skincare is where it's at for me these days, so I was honoured to be able to try some of Revolution's Skincare Line which I have been testing since the start of the year, so here are my thoughts...
THE COLLECTION
There is now over 40 products to choose from within the collection including everything from Serums, Essences, Moisturisers, Oils and Masks. Revolution do a great job of categorising everything with regards to product type, concern, skin type, ingredients and benefit on their website here* so you can easily navigate throughout the pages to find what will be best suited for you personally.

WHAT DO THE PRODUCTS DO?
I am going to be covering four products here on the blog that as I mentiond I have been testing out since the start of the year, below is a breakdown of each product.
  1. Revolution Superfruit Extract* - A Primer and Serum in one, this skin friendly serum hydrates, replenishes and brightens the skin thanks to it's delicate irridecence and Blueberry Extract.
  2. Revolution 10% Niacinamide + 1% Zinc* - Primarley this serum aides in refining pores and blemishes thanks to one of my favourite ingredient Niacinimide. additionally the Zinc is wonderful for dry skin as it helps calm and soothe.
  3. Revolution Quinoa Night Peel* - This radiance enhancing serum with Vitamin B gently sloughes away dead skin to reveal smoother and brighter skin. When using this product an SPF is recommended.
  4. Revolution 5% Lactic Acid + Hyaluronic Acid* - This mild exfoliator can aid in smoothing out the skins texture as well as leaving the skin looking plump and feeling hydrated. An SPF is again recommend when using this product.
PRICE
- Revolution Superfruit Extract 30ml£10 (Vegan, cruelty free, alcohol, paraben, oil and gluten free).
- Revolution 10% Niacinamide + 1% Zinc 30ml - £6 (Cruelty free, vegan, oil, alcohol, paraben, gluten and fragrance free).
- Revolution Quinoa Night Peel 30ml - £8 (Vegan, cruelty free, paraben, gluten, oil and fragrance free).
- Revolution 5% Lactic Acid + Hyaluronic Acid 30ml - £6 (Vegan, cruelty free, alcohol, gluten, fragrance, paraben and oil free).

PACKAGING
Most products come in an informative box which tells you everything from what it does, how to use it and when to use it.

HOW TO USE
You can also watch my intial first impression I linked above for live demos on each.
- Revolution Superfuit Extract - Use in the mornings before makeup as a primer or incorporate into your evening skincare routine after cleansing and toning and before moisturiser and oils. I find 3 drops is best for the whole face and neck. This smells amazing and reminds me of summer and holidays! The serum gives the skin a lovely luminous glow as well as being a great pick me up for reviving tired skin. For me this initially felt taught on the skin upon application, however I absolutely loved this paired with a moisturising cream or lotion on top. It's also a wonderful layering product if your a fan of the K-Beauty skincare routine like me.

- Revolution 10% Niacinamide + 1% Zinc - Use in the the morning or evening. I personally loved using this in the morning after cleansing, toning and essence, and before eye cream and moisturiser. Also a side note if you're using Vitamin C too, I would use both products on alternate days. I recommend shaking the product well and applying 2 drops onto the face and 2 on the neck. This has a very similar consistency to the Lactic and Hyaluronic Acid which means it sinks into the skin right away. Overall this felt comfortable on the skin with no irritation.

- Revolution Quinoa Night Peel - It is recommended to use this in the evening only 1-3 times a week. As this is a peeling serum you can slot it in after cleansing and toning, and before your regular serum, moisturiser or both. The consistency of this is quite watery upon application however, this sinks in straight way and left my skin feeling and looking soft and smoother. I use 3-4 drops for the whole face and neck.

- Revolution 5% Lactic Acid + Hyaluronic Acid - Apply this in the evening onto the face and neck daily. Use right after cleansing and if it is too strong Revolution suggest diluting the exfoliator with another product until your skin gets used to it. This again has a thinner consistency which sinks into the skin straight away. Initially it does feel slightly tacky to the touch but nevertheless it feels comfortable and doesn't irritate my skin. The next day my skin felt and looked visibly smoother. I apply 3-4 drops for the whole face and neck.

LONGEVITY
- Revolution Superfruit Extract - 12 months once opened.
- Revolution 10% Niacinamide + 1% Zinc - 12 months once opened.
- Revolution Quinoa Night Peel - 12 months once opened.
- Revolution 5% Lactic Acid + Hyaluronic Acid - 12 months once opened.

WHERE CAN I BUY IT?
RevolutionBeauty*, Superdrug, Beauty Bay* and Ulta*.

OVERALL THOUGHTS
Revolution have gone and done it again with another successful add on to thier brand! Honestly I have to admit when I first heard they were coming out with a skincare line I was dubious as skincare is a very hard thing to get right with ingredients that not only work but are what they say they are on the packaging. Revolution are an affordable and accessible brand and I did wonder how they would pull of a collection that is at the right price point with such premium ingredients, but hey they did it again and that's why they still continue to stay at the top of my list for that reason. Overall I've been impressed with what I've tried so far and now I'm keen to discover more...

I award the Revolution Superfruit Extract a 4.8 out of 5
Revolution 10% Niacinamide + 1% Zinc a 4.9 out of 5
Revolution Quinoa Night Peel a 4.7 out of 5
Revolution 5% Lactic Acid + Hyaluronic Acid a 4.9 out of 5.

Makeup Revolution Fast Base Stick Foundation Review and Conceal and Define Concealer Review and Photos

Makeup Revolution Foundation Stick and Makeup Revolution Conceal and Define
Ever since I discovered Makeup Revolution a few years back (thanks to a viewer on YT actually) I feel like they have gone from strength to strength. With a total re-brand last month as well as the launch of Revolution Pro it's easy to see why Revolution Beauty is dominating the drugstore market.

This year also saw the launch of two new face products from the core Revolution brand in the form of the Revolution Fast Base Stick Foundation and Revolution Conceal and Define Concealer. I initially did a First Impression video (that I've linked down below) on both of these but now after testing them out for a good month, I thought it was about time I share with you if they really are worth the hype...
Price
The Revolution Fast Base Stick Foundation retails for a modest £5 for 6.2g of product which isn't a lot compared to a drugstore liquid foundation, however, this is still super affordable and it's also Vegan and Cruelty-Free.

Additionally, there is a wonderful selection of 18 shades to choose from and if you're unsure on which colour to pick up then there's a really useful rundown on who each shade is for over on the website here.
The Revolution Conceal and Define Concealer retails for an insanely affordable £4 for 3.4ml of product. Again you don't get as much compared to some other drugstore concealers but this is a versatile full coverage conceal and contour product.

Shade wise there is 18 shades also and just like the foundation you can find a handy list of every shade and who it is right for over on the website here.
Packaging
Fast Base Stick Foundation - I love the beautiful nude packaging and copper accents, plus it's also perfectly compact especially if you're on the go or travelling.
Conceal and Define Concealer - This is gracefully adorned with rose gold, my favourite kind of makeup packaging! Inside you'll find a large doe foot applicator for ease of application.
Application
Fast Base Stick Foundation - Upon application, the consistency is really creamy and glides on like a dream. I used a damp Beauty Blender* to blend this all out but I have since tested this out with a brush and I have to say I prefer the sponge better as it helps give a more even, flawless coverage. If you are using this on the go then you can use your fingers also.

I picked this up in F2, however, I did find this to be slightly too light for me, nonetheless, I really enjoyed the efficiency of this and the fact it gave great coverage and a wonderful flawless finish. You can also use these to contour and highlight too.
Conceal and Define Concealer - This is a full coverage concealer that has a thick and creamy consistency. Upon application, this covered my dark circles and redness perfectly and blended out flawlessly with the help of the Real Techniques Mini Eraser Sponge*. The only thing I would say is I'm not overly fond of putting this right up to my under eyes as I do find it creases a little, nevertheless this is a great one to conceal, contour and highlight with.

I have since tried this on its own also and I actually really like this for no foundation days if you just want something that's quick but still covers up anything you need it too.
Longevity
Both the Foundation and Concealer lasted a good eight hours which was great. The foundation I actually loved, even more as the day went on, but because this has such a creamy consistency I would recommend setting this with a little powder. All in all, both felt totally comfortable on the skin.
Overall Thoughts
Fast Base Stick Foundation - If I had to sum up this foundation I would say it's easy to use, versatile and compact, plus it's also creamy and feels lightweight on the skin. Yes, you don't get as much compared to a liquid foundation and you may have to set this with a little powder but, overall this is a fantastically affordable foundation with a remarkable shade selection.

Finally, I think this is best suited to anyone who loves time-saving products, that are full coverage and compact, especially if you're a mum on the go or you're travelling.

I award the Revolution Fast Base Stick Foundation a 4.8 out of 5

Conceal and Define Concealer - This is such a great full coverage concealer and the fact it's under £5 and very accessible is always a bonus in my books. I admit, this does crease on me a bit and it's a shame you maybe don't get slightly more product, however, this is perfect for covering up a multitude of sins as well as being great for contouring and highlighting if you prefer a cream product instead.

All in all, this is a great one for anyone who likes again a full coverage, creamy consistency that's matte, versatile and affordable.

I award the Revolution Conceal & Define Concealer a 4.7 out of 5

If you're in the UK you can find these at Superdrug and on the Revolution Website here. And if you are in the US you can shop the concealer below.
