With the excitement of Glossier now available in the UK, it's certainly easier than ever to get your hands on products from this cult brand. Last year saw the launch of the first Glossier Perfume named simply 'Glossier You'. This thoughtfully formulated scent is designed to smell just like you! And with three strong base notes, this claims to be long-lasting and stay smelling the same throughout the day, so here are my thoughts...
Price
Glossier You retails for £45 for 50ml. Unfortunately at the moment this only comes in the 50ml, but hopefully, this will be available in a larger size as well in the future.
Packaging
I adore the packaging as it's simple, functional and of course totally Glossier!
Notes
The three base notes of Glossier You include Ambrox, Musk and Ambrette but there is so much more to this perfume than meets the eye so I will pop a link to it here* as Glossier do a much better job of explaining the true essence of this perfume.
Longevity
Usually, with a perfume I spray it everywhere, I know I know this is not the best or right way, however, I'm always worried it won't last that long throughout the day. But... this perfume I actually sprayed sparingly and boy did this last so wonderfully! I could still smell this well into the evening and yes it's true the scent still smelled exactly the same as it did when I first sprayed it in the morning.
Overall Thoughts
Ok, I totally get the hype, Glossier You is perfection in my eyes! I love the thought and science behind this perfume and the fact it's exclusively designed for you. It's also feminine, individual and not to mention long-wearing and if you're a fan of warm musky scents then you will certainly love this.

I've been meaning to talk about this perfume for a while now and I've now finally got around to it, as I bought a fresh bottle at Duty Free en route to our honeymoon destination recently. Firstly let me set the scent on how I discovered and fell in love with the La vie est belle fragrance. A few years back my husband and I took a mini break to Edinburgh to celebrate being together so long! lol Unbeknown to me when we were visiting Edinburgh castle, he actually got down on one knee and proposed!
For the whole trip I was in an absolute bubble of excitement and as we were waiting for our flight home, this lady at the airport handed me this beautiful pink fabric rose with a sample of a new perfume she was advertising. It wasn't till I actually walked away and smelt it, that I immediately fell in love with this romantic perfume and realised that this was going to be my Wedding scent and it was meant to be!
La vie est belle for me is romantic, pretty and floral with notes of vanilla, jasmine, Tonka bean and blackcurrant., but if you want a more detailed description of all of the notes, then Fragrantica has the best perfume explanations.
Price
These days I mostly opt for an Eau de Parfum as I just find it lasts longer on the skin. So if you do like to invest a little more into fragrance then the Eau de Parfum is a better option, as you don't need to apply as much. This does also come in an Eau de Toilette too if you do prefer a lighter version, but whatever you choose here's a run down of all the prices, sizes and strengths.
La vie est belle Eau De Toilette - This look the same apart from the bottle is a little taller. 50ml - £49 100ml - £70
La vie est belle Eau De Parfum - This is the version I have and love. 30ml - £45 50ml - £64 75ml - £72 100ml - £84

As you can see this is a pricey perfume, but totally worth it if your fond of feminine scents.
Packaging
The packaging for me epitomizes femininity with it's beautiful delicate bottle and gorgeous white glitter and rose gold box. It also has two grey petals at the top of the bottle that represents the La vie est belle family. The mini version was actually in a Christmas Gift Pack along with a scented body lotion too, so if your after a purse friendly size, defiantly look out for the value gift sets at Christmas.
Application
This has an easy to use spray nozzle like most perfumes, which is always nice. The mini version is a pour method which is ideal for on the go touch-ups.
Longevity
I can only vouch for the Eau de Parfum, but this really does last beautifully on the skin for me personally.
Overall Thoughts
If you haven't already guessed, I absolutely love this perfume! This beautifully named fragrance just has the prettiest packaging as well as amazing longevity, despite it's expensive price tag. It's also a wonderful option if you are getting married because of it's ultra feminine and sweet smell.
Perfume is defiantly a personal choice, so if this sounds like your kind of scent, I would recommend testing this out to see how it smells and wears on your skin before investing.
Yves Saint Laurent is one of my favourite brands for fragrance, because not only do they have a stunning selection of perfumes, they also come in the most decadent bottles. Black Opium is the latest offering from the YSL Opium collection, so here's my thoughts.

Price
Black Opium is an Eau de Parfum and comes in three sizes including, 30ml which retails for £45, 50ml for £64 and 90ml for £84. This is a high end luxury eau de parfum, so the hefty price tag is to be expected. This also comes in an Eau de Toilette version too, which has a more pinker bottle and is a slightly more affordable too.
Packaging
When I first discovered this fragrance, the packaging caught my eye straight away, before I even knew what it was. Black opium comes packaged in a beautiful stunning black, black glitter and pewter box and the bottle itself is adorned in a black glitter with a circular glass window in the middle, as well as a hygienic spray applicator and top.
The Notes and Longevity
Just going by the packaging you can tell this is a deep, dark, seductive fragrance and if your a fan of the more musky scents, then this could be for you. Black Opium has a beautiful mix of notes including Jasmine, Coffee and Cedar. For a more detailed description of the notes, I always use Fragrantica when searching for a new perfume.
On my skin this lasts all day, but everyone is different depending on lifestyle and how it can smell on you compared to someone else.
Overall Thoughts
For me I absolutely love this perfume as not only is the packaging appealing to the eye, the scent itself is a gorgeous deep, dark mix of notes which compliment each other perfectly. Yes this is an expensive perfume, but if you opt for the Eau de Parfum, it will last that little bit longer on the skin and there's always the Eau de Toilette version if that's a little out of your price range. So if your after a new fragrance, that's just right for the up and coming party season, then this could be for you.

Juicy Couture Viva La Juicy
Viva La Juicy I first bought on my last trip to New York about six years ago. At the time I was obsessed with anything Juicy and purchased this in the Juicy Couture shop on 5th Avenue. I have bought this ever since as it has strong memories for me, from my time in New York.
Juicy Couture Viva La Juicy Fleur
Viva La Juicy La Fleur is one of my favourite perfumes for the Spring and Summer. If you like the original I think you'll like this, it's a slightly more fresher, lighter scent than the original but nether less beautiful.
Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau So Fresh Delight
Another one of my much-loved perfumes for Spring is this Daisy Eau So Fresh. I wouldn't typically go for these more fresher scents, but there's something about this, that is perfect for everyday.
YSL Manifesto
Manifesto is one of my newer scents I've added to my collection and is actually fast becoming my favourite! This is a gorgeous deep, musky scent that lasts all day on the skin for me.
Jean Paul Gaultier Classique
Jean Paul Gaultier Classique, is a perfume I have worn ever since I was a teenager. As the name suggests this is a classic fragrance that never gets old for me.
Vera Wang Princess
The packaging alone sold this too me a few years back now and ever since Vera Wang Princess is a perfume I have bought time and time again. This is a strong perfume that lasts all day, but it does have a lovely freshness running through it and is one that every girl should own!
Gucci Rush
Gucci Rush is another one of my signature teenage scents, I love this I think purely for the nostalgic memories it brings back. I admit this is a super strong scent hat is not to everyone's taste, but it does last all day.
Juicy Couture Viva La Juicy Roller Ball
I also got this little roller ball travel edition of the Viva La Juicy scent in New York as it's great to pop in your handbag for a night out or on the go touch ups.
Sarah Jessica Parker Lovely
Lovely by Sarah Jessica Parker is another nostalgic scent for me and one I must get again soon. This perfume stick I've had for a while now and should probably throw out, as I really don't use it that much because it leaves a greasy residue on the skin, that can be messy at times.
Marc Jacobs Daisy is one of my favourite day perfume's and I love the beautiful packaged Summer Limited Edition scents they bring out, as they are so feminine and wearable without being over powering.

Price
I have the 75ml bottle which retails for £52 from what I've seen this is the only size they do in this Limited Edition version, but for 75ml it's a reasonably priced perfume for how big the bottle is.
Packaging
The packaging is stunning as ever with it's beautifully elegant bottle and pretty daisy top it complements any dressing table! I didn't even want to throw the box it came in away as yet again it was covered in an array of coloured Daisy's.
I personally prefer the bright Daisy packaging to the original Eau So Fresh perfume because it's bright and happy, but I think this is personal preference.
This is a spray applicator with top.
Scent and Longevity
This is a lot fresher to the original Eau So Fresh Perfume I would say comparing them both together the original is a little deeper and suited for evening too, whereas this one is defiantly a day perfume.
I'm not usually keen on fruity scents which this is, but this just has a gorgeous fresh smell mixed in with the fruitiness to create a beautiful Summer scent.
It's described as having notes of raspberry, apricot and blood orange which give it the sweet scent mixed with tiare tahiti which in turn takes the edge of the sweet smell.
All in all this works perfectly, the only down point is it's longevity, you defiantly have to re apply this a couple of times to keep the scent lingering longer, but I tend to find this with a lot of sweet perfumes.
Overall Thoughts
For me this is a beautifully packaged non over powering perfume perfect for those Spring and Summer days or as a lovely gift for someone. This is not to everyone's price range but for how big the bottle is and plus the pretty packaging it's a small price to pay.
As I said before the only negative for me is the scent longevity, but hey it's pretty accessory to pop in your bag to top up your perfume throughout the day!

Viva La Juicy has always been on the top of my fragrance list ever since it was released back in 2008, so I was excited to hear that Juicy Couture had bought out a sister perfume in the Viva La Juicy line named Viva La Juicy La Fleur. This beautiful fragrance looks very similar to its first perfume but with a different bottle shape and a fresher feel. La Fleur is an Eau De Toilette which comes in a 40ml, 75ml and 150ml, they are also doing a beautiful Christmas set which includes a 40ml Eau De Toilette and a dual ended roller ball which has 5ml of the original Viva La Juicy and 5ml of the Viva La Juicy La Fleur. The Roller Ball is also sold separately.

PACKAGING Like all the other Juicy Perfume's this is beautifully packaged in a Pink floral print box, with Gold writing. The Perfume itself has the signature Viva La Juicy Pink Ribbon Bow and the gold J and Couture name chain. Inside the bottle is has a stunning Rose print which you can see through the bottle.
APPLICATION This a spray applicator, with a gorgeous jewelled lid to preserve the perfume. SCENT This is a beautiful fresh scent perfect for everyday, I can smell the fresh gardenia petals and the Waterlily Top Note. This is described as a romantic fragrance which I sense from the musky Sandalwood Base note which you get in the first fragrance mixed with the innocence of the fresh floral accents.
LONGEVITY As this is an Eau De Toilette the scent didn't last as long for me as an Eau De Parfum, it had worn off by 12.30pm so I re-sprayed this again and the scent did ware but I could smell a slight scent at the end of the evening, so it would be great if they could do a Lotion to compliment the fragrance and help the scent last longer throughout the day.
PRICE The 75ml pictured is around the £45 mark as this varies depending on where you shop as I also found the cheapest to be £39.10 for the 75ml, so it pays to shop around. The 40ml you is priced on average of about £33 and the 150ml is about £60.
FINAL THOUGHT I adore this perfume as I do the original, but I do think Perfume is a personal thing so everyone has different scents they prefer whether it be floral, fruity or a deep musk. But if you like the Original Viva La Juicy then you're sure to like this lighter version of it which is a perfect daytime fragrance. I would love to see Juicy introduce a shower Gel and Lotion to the range too, to maximise the La Fleur experience. I award the Viva La Juicy La Fleur 4.9 out of 5
