10 Drugstore Highlighters Under £10

Drugstore Highlighters UK
I think it's safe to say highlighters are HUGE and you know I love finding affordable drugstore makeup for you guys, so today I wanted to share with you ten of my very favourite drugstore highlighters. And the best bit.. they're all £10 and under!
These first couple of highlighters are the more subtle of the bunch and are perfect if you love a glow but you're not into a full on light beam on your face! The Makeup Revolution Radiance Palette is a wonderful dupe for the Hourglass Ambient Light Palette*. This contains three beautifully subtle highlighters that can be used a couple of ways to give you that wonderful ethereal glow. Firstly, of course, you can use these on the cheeks, I actually prefer putting these underneath blush instead of on top or you can use either of the two pink shades to set your foundation and concealer. Either way whatever you decide this palette is an absolute steal for how much you get in here.
2. Essence Strobing Highlighter £3
The other more subtle option is this one from Essence. The strobing highlighter has a tad more shimmer to it and is best used on the cheeks, however, I adore this one for everyday use as it just gives you the right amount of day time glow.
3. Barry M Illuminating Highlighter Palette £6.49*
Moving on to one of my favourite finds from this year so far... The Barry M Highlighting trio is again similar to the Revolution Radiance Palette, but this palette just packs more of a punch if you want something that's the next step up. The white and pink look wonderful mixed together and the gold goes great with a tan.
4. Makeup Revolution Vivid Baked Highlighter Radiant Lights £3
This highlighter is the perfect mix of pink and white together and just like the Barry M Palette, this is a lovely one for every day if you want more of a stunning sheen to the cheeks, cupids bow or brow bone.
5. Makeup Revolution Golden Sugar 2 Rose Gold Ultra Brush Palette £6*
Now don't be fooled by the name of this palette, this is one of those under the radar palette's, that not enough people talk about! This actually has the most STUNNING mix of highlighters, blush toppers and blush/bronzer shades, and if you really want something that's going to show up and pop on the cheeks, then this is the palette for you.
6. Primark Pure Glow Highlighter Champagne £3
I reviewed this recently here on the blog and it's honestly one of those hidden gems. You get so much highlighter for your money and if you prefer more of a golden/yellow toned highlighter, then you for sure have to hunt this down! I love this with a tan over the cheeks and decollete.
7. Sleek Solstice Highlighting Palette £9.99*
This last powder palette was one of the first drugstore highlighting palettes I ever came across a few years back. Although this is the most expensive of the bunch, this truly is a stunning must-have palette if you want something that really show's up on the cheeks. Read my full review on this here.
8. MUA Glow Beam Liquid Highlight Cushion £5
This is the only highlighter I've seen in a cushion form and if you're a fan of cream only products then this is a great choice for you. I use a damp mini Real Techniques Sponge to gently dab this over the cheeks prior to blusher. I adore how glowy this looks on the cheeks and it's such a great option for Summer.
9. Maybelline Master Strobing Liquid Medium/Nude £7.99*
The Master Strobing Liquid is another highlighting gem, the shade I use is the medium/nude option as it's a pretty pink/gold. This liquid highlighter can be used again with a damp sponge underneath blush. I actually adore this when I'm having a more subtle makeup day.
10. Seventeen WOW 3 Way Highlighter £5.99
If you're after a great dupe for the Benefit High Beam*, then this is it! The 3 Way Highlighter is a more silvery option which can be worn alone or mixed in with your foundation for a more dewy glow.

Primark Highlighter Review & Photos

Primark Pure Glow Highlighter and Mermaid Glow Highlighting Powder
If you've seen my first highlighter review here on Sunday, then you'll know last week was First Impressions Week over on my channel here. In this second post I wanted to share and review the newly released Primark Highlighters. These beauties have had quite a bit of hype surrounding them, so here's my thoughts...
Price
Both highlighters retail for £3 for 9g of product, which is exceptional value for money. Initially Primark released two Pure Glow Highlighters in Champagne and Rose Prosecco and then a third highlighter was dropped a few weeks ago called Mermaid Glow. I picked up Champagne and Mermaid Glow to show you.
Packaging
The packaging on these is pretty simple, yet sturdy, with the highlighters doing all the talking. Each one also has a beautiful wave pattern running through them, which makes them look even more appealing to the eye.

Application
The champagne highlighter is a stunning gold/bronze shade which is super pigmented to the touch. The mermaid glow is a white/silver shade which has a more chunkier texture and is not as pigmented, but is still pretty nonetheless.

Upon application I decided to apply the champagne to the tops of my cheeks and the mermaid one to my cupids bow and as a inner corner highlighter. The champagne shade applied beautifully and is such a stunning, delicate shade, that would look gorgeous as a blush topper or on tanned skin also. The mermaid shade is nice, but for me this was too silvery and it didn't go on as smooth compared to the gold.
Longevity
Both highlighters held up for a good ten hours, especially the champagne on my cheeks.
Overall Thoughts
Firstly these are great value of money for the amount of highlighter you get and visually these are stunning. However application wise I would say the champagne shade glides on the best and is more buildable too. The mermaid glow still looks pretty, but this has a slightly chunkier formula and personally this was just too silvery for me.

So overall I think if you're after an affordable, versatile and stunning highlighter then I would definitely snap up the Champagne one asap!

I award the Primark Pure Glow in Champagne a 4.5 out of 5 and the Mermaid Glow a 4 out of 5.
