Makeup Revolution Iconic Pro 1 Review and Photos - Lorac Pro Palette Dupe

Revolution Iconic Pro 1

Having recently discovered Makeup Revolution (I know, where have I been!) I wanted to test out a few of their best selling products and put them to the test. After reviewing the Ultra Metals Flat Contour Brush recently, next up is this Iconic Pro 1 eye shadow palette which is a great dupe for the Lorac Pro Palette. So here's my thoughts.

Price
This retails for £6.99 for 16 well-sized shadows, which is an absolute bargain in my eyes!

Packaging

The packaging is beautiful on this palette, it's sleek, sophisticated, appealing on the eye and it comes boxed too. Inside is an amazing full size mirror, perfect for doing your make-up in and it also has a really nice quality, double ended brush to use with the palette.

Application

All of the shadows are super pigmented and apply beautifully to the eyes with or without an eye shadow base. The top eight are matte and the bottom eight are shimmery. Both the top and bottom shadows compliment each other well and give you endless possibilities of eye shadow looks. So far my favourite's are, Luna (matte) for all over the eye as a base, Must (matte) and Getter (shimmer) as a combo and Drama (matte) and Stage (shimmer).

I actually ended up using the double ended brush too and fell in love with this perfect sized crease and lid brush, as it was beautifully soft and easy to work with.

Longevity
I tried these shadows both with and without a primer. Without the primer, these lastest surprisingly well, but I do like these even better with a primer and coloured eye base, as it just helps them stick and pop that little bit more.

Overall Thoughts
The Iconic Pro 1 is simply amazing for the price as not only do you get a lot of shadows for your money, they blend well, are super pigmented and with stand the test of time. It's great to see a palette with a wide selection of matte and shimmer shades that compliment each other, as well as create endless eye possibilities. So if your after an affordable eye shadow palette, with a great selection of wearable shades, that are easy to apply, then this could be for you!
