Maybelline Color Drama Intense Lip Paint Review & Photos

Maybelline Color Drama Intense Lip Paint
Lip products are defiantly one of my most loved when it comes to make-up and whenever there is a new lip launch I can't help but get excited! Maybelline are the latest brand to launch a lip paint which is essentially a super pigmented gloss, these little paints claim to give an intense shot of colour to the lips, so here's my thoughts.
Price
The Maybelline Color Drama Intense Lip Paints retail for an affordable £4.99 for 6.4ml of product and come in five shades including,
610 Stripped Down - a medium taupe/nude
110 Never Bare - a pinky nude
120 Fight Me Fuchsia - a bright neon pink
520 Red-dy or Not - a true pillar box red
370 Vamped Up - a deep vampy purple
Packaging
I love these as not only are they visually appealing, they're compact and ideal to keep in your handbag too. The glosses also come with a small, slanted sponge applicator that helps apply the lip paint really easily and efficiently.
Application
Upon application the glosses glide on smoothly and easily and they also smell delicious too. (a bit like a watermelon sour!) The overall finish is super pigmented, intense and glossy. The only colour I did have problems with was the deep vampy purple as I do find these sort of shades are a lot harder to work with, with regards to even distribution of the colour. So if you love these dark purple shades then this may be better as a gloss topper on top of a lipstick.

Longevity
As with all glosses these do come off after eating, so just remember to pop it in your bag for on the go touch ups throughout the day.

Overall Thoughts
Although I'm more of a matte lip fan these days, I actually really like these as they are a nice affordable alternative to a liquid lipstick. The size of the gloss is also perfect if you want to carry a couple in your handbag to change up your look from day to night, plus you can wear these on their own or on top of a regular lipstick as a gloss topper.

The longevity isn't the best but honestly the pigmentation, colour pay off and easy sponge applicators make these a great lip gloss choice if your bored of a matte lip and after something different, furthermore they smell delicious too!

I award the Maybelline Color Drama Intense Lip Paint 4.6 put of 5

*Four of the lip paints were sent to me, but as always all opinions are my own.
