Rimmel Magnif-Eyes Eyeshadow Palette Review & Photos

Rimmel Magnif-Eyes Eyeshadow Palette
Following on from my review on the new Rimmel The Only 1 Matte Lipsticks comes the second review in this trio of new launches. This time we are talking about the Magnif-Eyes Eye Contouring Palette, so here's my thoughts.
Price
The palette retails for £7.99 which I think is a little expensive for Rimmel, but there is eight shades inside as well as two other colour ways to choose from.
Packaging
The packaging is pretty basic but I do love the copper writing on the front and the fact you can see the shades through the top. Inside you get a handy mirror, a bit of a naff applicator and eight decent sized shimmer and semi-matte shadows. On the back there is also a useful step by step guide if your stuck for eye inspiration and how to use on different shaped eyes.
I picked this up in Grunge Glamour which has more grey's, plums and browns in, however if you don't like the look of this palette then there is also, London Nudes Calling which has deeper browns and nudes and Keep Calm & Wear Gold which is full of stunning gold and brown tones.
Application
Upon application the shadows are pigmented and buildable, although there is quite a bit fall and so I do recommend doing your eyes first, so you can wipe away any mess before you apply foundation etc. The shadows can also be used wet too if you prefer using a shadow as liner, which is what I've been doing with the darkest shade. You could also use a coloured eye base as well to help the shadows pop even more.
Longevity
Considering I didn't use an eye primer or coloured shadow base, these lasted amazingly well throughout the day without fading or creasing.
Overall Thoughts
Overall I was really impressed with this palette because not only were the shadows pigmented and long-wearing, they also applied and blended out beautifully. Unfortunately there is no names on the shadows which is a shame, but this palette does have a useful application guide on the back and a handy mirror inside. It's also an ideal size for travel if you only want to take one palette away with you.

Overall I really enjoyed using this palette and I'm keen to try the other two within the collection. So if your on the look out for a new palette that's wearable, drugstore and long-wearing, Rimmel have the palette just for you!

I award the Rimmel Magnif-Eyes Eye Contouring Palette 4.6 out of 5
