Stila Magnificent Metals Glitter & Glow and Shimmer & Glow Review and Photos

Stila Magnificent Metals Review
Happy New Year guys, I hope you all had a great one! I wanted to kick off 2018 with a review of the Stila Magnificent Metals Glitter and Glow and the new Shimmer and Glow Liquid Shadows that will be available in the Spring. I actually picked up this gorgeous gift set in Sephora back in November while in New York and although this isn't available anymore, there is plenty of dazzling full-sized shades to choose from here*. So here are my thoughts...
Price
This set sold out pretty quickly but if you can still get your hands on it then the eye for elegance Liquid Eye Shadow Kit retailed for £45 for 6 colours containing 2.25ml of product in each.

The full-sized Glitter & Glow Shadows retail for £23 for 4.5ml of product and you can find these at the following retailers,
Stila UK*
Cult Beauty*
Beauty Bay*
Feel Unique*
Marks & Spencer*

There are 12 stunning shades to choose from including,
Ballet Baby
Bronzed Bell
Kitten Karma
Rose Gold Retro
Smoldering Satin
Smokey Storm
Molten Midnight
Gold Goddess
Diamond Dust
Sea Siren (New Duo-Chrome)
Into the Blue (New Duo-Chrome)
Sunset Cove (New Duo-Chrome)
Packaging
I adore the packaging for these as they let the shadows do all the talking.
Inside you'll find a nice flat doe-foot applicator to apply the product with.

Application
I've linked the Stila tutorial from their website below if you need some extra inspiration on different ways to use these. I personally did prefer using a small brush as it gives a more precise application, however, if you don't have a small flat brush to hand, then the applicator works just as well.
Shimmer & Glow - The non-glitter shadows as I mentioned don't launch until the Spring unless you were lucky enough to pick up this gorgeous gift set too. But what I can tell you is these are pigmented, glide on beautifully and have the most stunning high shine metallic finish.

Glitter & Glow - The iconic Glitter and Glow formula has a more chunky consistency and each colour is full of dazzling sparkly glitter that again glides on easily. The only thing I would say is I recommend applying the liquid eyeshadow first before you do your face makeup and building up the colour in thin layers. Peachy Sheen also has a slightly more sheer base, but it still packs a punch when it comes to sparkle and shine!

All six of the colours dry down quickly, but you still get enough play time, to build up the intensity and blend out the shades.
Longevity
Both the shimmer and glitter formulas lasted well throughout the day, although towards the end of the night I did get a tiny bit of fall out from the glitter version but honestly overall these wore well without the worry of creasing.
Overall Thoughts
Overall I can see why these have had a tremendous amount of hype since their launch! Yes, they are a bit more pricey than you're regular glitter shadow, however, if you're after a next level glitter liquid eyeshadow that's pigmented, vibrant, long-wearing and certainly packs a punch then these are definitely for you! Furthermore, I'm obsessed with the amazing colour selection including the three new shades I listed above which have a stunning duo-chrome effect. Lastly, if that wasn't enough then as I mentioned above keep your eyes peeled for the Shimmer & Glow formulas which are a wonderful addition if you want something that still has a metallic finish minus the glitter.

I award the Stila Magnificent Metals Glitter & Glow and Shimmer & Glow a 4.8 out of 5
