Autumn Style 2016

As much as I love wearing Summer clothes, I also enjoy the cold weather and wrapping up for Autumn. However with so many trends to choose from each season, it's hard to keep on top of what's hot, let alone being able to afford lots of new pieces every time a new collection hits the shops. For me I like to pick up a few new pieces each season to re-vamp my wardrobe, so here's four key trends I've been loving this Autumn, plus some photos from my recent trip to Rouen and Bruges.

Riding Boots and Khaki Coats - Winter Style Diary #1

As the weather gets colder and the nights draw in, last weekend I felt it was finally time to pull out my riding boots and my winter coat. Riding boots are one of my favourite winter accessories as they are not only comfy but go with almost anything.

A khaki coat or jacket is another winter must have, that's great styled up or down. I love this one from Lipsy as you can take the fur off for a casual weekend look or leave it on for a more on trend dressed up feel. Either way I love this coat as it has a feminine touch with the gathered in waist and fur collar.

Summer to Fall Transition Outfits Lookbook

As I've got older I've really come to appreciate the seasons more, especially Autumn. I love watching the leaves turn beautiful shades of red and orange, as well as feeling the air become crisper so you can wrap yourself up in your favourite cosy sweater. October is defiantly the transition period where we add a few more layers of clothes and opt for a more seasonal array of colours that Fall has to offer.

Today I wanted to share with you some pieces I've recently picked up, to update my wardrobe ready for the colder weather. A lot of these pieces are ideal for layering and can still be worn alone when we get the odd milder day. I hope this inspires you too!

I hope everyone had a lovely weekend, did anyone get to see any fireworks?!

I don't know about you but I really don't know where the weekends go, one minute it's Friday night and I'm excited for the weekend, then the next it's Sunday night, crazy! On Sunday I went for Afternoon Tea with my mum at a lovely hotel, it was so yummy and just enough as some of them can be a bit overwhelming, we had the most lovely selection of sandwiches, scones and some beautiful cakes including a gorgeous macaroon.
