Rimmel Match Perfection Loose Powder Review and Photos

Rimmel Match Perfection Silky Loose Face Powder
Concealer has become a bit of an obsession of mine, but as we all know it does need to be set pretty quickly to prevent creasing and to maximise the wear time. Now most powders that I own unfortunately don't cut the mustard in providing what I need to help with my concealer concerns and so I recently switched to this loose powder from Rimmel, which is more suited to what I need it for, so here are my thoughts...

Check out my other reviews from the Rimmel Match Perfection Line here,
Rimmel Match Perfection Concealer
Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation
Price
This retails for £6.99 for 10g of product and comes in the translucent shade only.
Packaging
The packaging is clear and simple and represents the Match Perfection line with it's bright blue top. It also has a second top inside which prevents too much product coming out, but I would still be careful when opening the blue lid as it can get a bit messy regardless of the 2nd lid inside.

This is also comes with a small, thin powder puff too, but I do think a brush is better suited for applying this kind of powder.
Application
This has the most beautiful silky texture and applies like a dream because of it's finely milled consistency. I applied this with a small contour brush to the areas I had concealed and it instantly set my concealer without creasing, as well as helping mattify the shine on my t-zone area from the foundation I had applied. I also found a little goes a long way, so less is more in this case.
Longevity
This latest really well, for a good 13+ hours to be precise, which was amazing! And by the end of the night I really didn't look shiny at all, even after a long day.
Overall Thoughts
Overall this powder was wonderful at helping me stay shine free, non cakey and flawless all day long. This is also a great affordable drugstore powder that's perfect for anyone who suffers with oily skin or who is searching for an inexpensive dupe for the Laura Mercier Translucent Powder to set their concealer with.

I award the Rimmel Match Perfection Silky Loose Face Powder 4.8 out of 5

Rimmel Match Perfection 2 in 1 Concealer and Highlighter Review and Photos

Rimmel Match Perfection 2 in 1 Concealer and Highlighter
I recently finished the Maybelline Eye Eraser, which I was really sad about as I adored this concealer, but going forward I'm ready to tackle the drugstore concealer market for you guys, to bring you reviews on what's hot and what's not. First up is a popular choice from the Rimmel Match Perfection Line in the shape of the 2 in 1 Concealer and Highlighter, so here's my thoughts.

What concealer would you like me to review next? Leave a comment down below or tweet me.
Price
This retails for £5.99 for 7ml of concealer, which is pretty good value for money for a reasonable amount of product.

Packaging
This 2 in 1 concealer has a brush applicator to apply the product, as well as a hygienic cap to keep the brush clean. The tube itself is packaged in the blue Match Perfection uniform and clearly states what the concealer does.
 Application
Upon application this concealer applies well with the brush, although I do think the brush is a little small to cover a large area easily. Coverage wise, this is more of a highlighter than a concealer, but it does disguise dark circles well, by reflecting the light away from the area. Overall this product gives a beautiful, dewy finish to the face.
 Longevity
I wore this Match Perfection for a good 12 hours and by the end of the day, the concealer was still slightly visible, but the dewy glow and coverage had faded, especially around my eye area. When testing this out I didn't apply a primer or foundation so you could see it's true results, so if your planning a long day or night out after work, I would recommend popping this in your handbag for a mid-afternoon touch up.
Overall Thoughts
Overall I really did like this concealer, especially the dewy, light reflecting aspect, the brush, although a little small, gives great coverage for under eye circles, but essentially this is more of a highlighter than a concealer.  Rimmel Match Perfection is very similar to the YSL Touch Éclat, so if your looking for an affordable highlighter for a fraction of a price, then I defiantly recommend checking this out, just remember to pack this in your handbag for on the go touch-ups.

I award the Rimmel Match Perfection 2 in 1 Concealer and Highlighter 4.5 out of 5

Rimmel Match Perfection Review and Photo's

I am always on the hunt for the next best foundation and reached out to some of you on Twitter to advise me on your favourite foundation, a lot of you mentioned that the Rimmel Match Perfection was a great drugstore foundation, so I was intrigued by this and thought I would give it a go.
Here's my thoughts.
Do you have any Foundation you swear by, let me know via Twitter using the #pinkparadisebeauty I would love to know!
Rimmel Match Perfection comes in 11 shades which match most skin tones, I'm using 103 True Ivory which was a pretty good match for my pale skin. This foundation has a dewy radiant finish and an SPF of 18, it also claims to last all day and match the skin for a flawless finish.

Price
This retails for £6.99 for 30ml which is excellent value for money as I have always seen Rimmel as an affordable, fashion forward, drugstore brand.

Packaging
The foundation is simply packaged in a glass bottle with a separate blue lid and hygienic pump dispenser which is always good in my opinion.
Application
Upon first application, this had a thin consistency and had a pleasant subtle smell, I used a flat brush and damp make-up sponge to apply this.
The coverage was medium but buildable to suit your needs, it gave my skin a beautiful light weight finish.
 Longevity
Considering I didn't use a setting spray with this, the packaging was correct it did last amazingly well for a drugstore foundation, I just needed to slightly touch up around my nose area.
I have recently tried this with a Setting Spray and it lasts even better, so if you want guaranteed longevity into the late evening hours, use a good setting spray as well.
Overall Thoughts
Overall I was really impressed by this foundation, not only was it affordable, it had great longevity and a beautiful lightweight feel and finish to it, this is defiantly a super foundation for day or a special occasion like a Wedding because of it's dewy luminous finish it gives to the skin, it also is hygienically packaged and has a great shade selection.
I would of never looked twice at this foundation had someone not recommended it to me as I tend to be drawn by a striking name and bright packaging, I'm now excited to try some of the other foundations within the Rimmel range.

I award the Rimmel Match Perfection 4.6 out of 5
